Camera Question...

If anyone is totally in love with their camera, would you mind letting me know what kind you are using? I used to love my old one but it fell out of our diaper bag in the garage and I ran over it with our car. Needless to say, it didn't survive. I got another one, same brand but different model, and I just haven't been very happy with it. Everything looks either blue or yellow to me. As an added bonus, one of my dogs hairs made its way into the camera lens and I think its throwing off the auto focus. Beagle hair can find its way into ANYTHING! He's so sweet though...

In any case, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated! I don't have as much time to sift through product reviews on Amazon anymore.

Karin, just saw your questions on the P&Q. I have an Olympus camera (it's about 3yrs old now) and I simply LOVE it. One downside: it requires proprietary memory cards which are a bit expensive but I have a 1G and 2G memory card and can fit everything I want in there. Besides, if you frequently download pictures, you won't need more than 1 memory card.

Here's the info on it (I got it as an anniversary gift so not sure how much hubby paid for it but pretty sure it was cheaper at Circuit City/Best Buy than the price shown on Amazon):

Hi Karin :0)

I have a Nikon D60. I also use my husband's D200 sometimes. Good luck on your search!

I just saw this post and your question on the p&q. I use a Sony Cybershot DSCW120

Although parts of it I don't like because the memory card was on the expensive side because it has a special sony type memory card. It also does not take pictures in black and white or sepia, but it's all good. I really like this camera.

Just saw your post on P&Q, too. I have a Canon XTi. Canon comes out with a new model SLR every year and mine is about 3 years old. My friends have the xsi, too. We all love our SLRs.

If you dont want to spend that kind of money... for point & shoots, I like the Nikon Coolpix S570.

I have a Canon Rebel xs, which like Hanaa's, was an anniversary gift. I've only had it few months, so I'm still learning to use it, but I like it. I have a Canon Elph P&S too, it's old so I know the ones they make now have a lot more megapixels.

Bummer about your old camera. I shoot with a Canon Powershot S3. It's about 3 years old and it's a more expensive point and shoot but it takes pretty good pics. I still really want a dSLR but this does the trick for now :)

I normally send everyone to Canon. They are durable, dependable cameras and from my prior research, they have the best equipment. The model you get depends on what features you want and more importantly, how much you are looking to spend.
